Jesus In Disguise
In Matthew 25:31-46, Jesus reveals a profound truth about serving others. When we care for the hungry, thirsty, stranger, naked, sick, or imprisoned, we're not just being Christ to them—we're actually encountering Christ himself. This passage shows that Jesus is present in the equality of all people, in human vulnerability, and in selfless love. Mother Teresa understood this deeply, describing those she served as Jesus in disguise. Whether serving in our church family or broader community, these aren't just good deeds but sacred opportunities to meet the living Christ.
Jesus Lives In You
God specializes in transforming lives, taking us exactly where we are and making us into who He created us to be. Many people feel small, insignificant, or broken, wondering if God could really use someone like them. The truth is that God meets us at our point of need and accepts us just as we are, while loving us too much to leave us unchanged. When we encounter Jesus, the Spirit of God declares over us that we are significant. Life may still have challenges, but Jesus promises to be with us through it all, transforming us from broken to beautiful.
A masterpiece In The Making
Many believers struggle with feelings of inadequacy and question whether they truly belong in God's family. However, Ephesians 2:8-10 reveals three powerful truths about your identity in Christ. First, you are a member of God's family - not because of your background or achievements, but because Jesus died for you and saved you. Second, you are God's masterpiece, wonderfully made and created anew in Christ, with God using even your brokenness to display His grace. Third, you are a dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, carrying God's presence wherever you go. Understanding these truths should transform how you live, speak, and face daily challenges.
Is Christ In Your Corner
In a world full of distractions, the question remains: Is Christ in your corner? Just as ancient builders relied on a cornerstone to align every other stone in their construction, we need Jesus Christ as the foundation of our lives. When Christ is our cornerstone, everything else falls into proper alignment - our decisions become clearer, our relationships healthier, and our purpose more defined. The religious leaders rejected Jesus because He didn't fit their plans, but He is the perfect cornerstone exactly as He is. Christ isn't just a religious figure; He's the cornerstone of the entire universe who wants to be intimately involved in your daily life. This week, take inventory of what has actually become the cornerstone of your life and make the conscious decision to realign everything around Christ.
Have You Measured the Cost?
Following Jesus is free, but true discipleship comes with a cost. Jesus calls us to count the cost, surrender everything, and live set apart from the world. This means loving Him so completely that everything else appears secondary by comparison. Like Moses who turned aside to investigate the burning bush, we must step away from the familiar to pursue God more deeply. Carrying our cross means dying to our own desires, plans, and pride to follow Christ wholeheartedly. The cost is worth it because Jesus offers something infinitely greater than what the world promises.
The Crowns of Christ
The crown of thorns placed on Jesus' head during His crucifixion represents far more than mockery and pain. It reveals three profound truths about Christ's identity and work. First, as the Crown of Suffering, it shows that Jesus understands our pain because He experienced every form of human hardship. Second, as the Crown of Sacrifice, it demonstrates that Jesus became both the perfect high priest and the ultimate sacrifice, paying the complete price for our sins once and for all. Finally, as the Crown of Supremacy, it points to Jesus' eternal reign as King of Kings, where He now wears many crowns of absolute authority. These truths should transform how we view Jesus and encourage us to trust Him completely with our lives.
Baptism Service March 2026
Eleven people shared powerful testimonies before being baptized, revealing how God transforms lives from darkness to light. Their stories showed common themes: finding hope after addiction, depression, and trauma; discovering true identity in Christ; and the crucial role of Christian community in spiritual growth. Baptism represents an outward expression of an inward decision - going down into the water symbolizes burying the old life, while coming up represents new life in Christ. Just as Jesus chose to be baptized despite his perfection, this act brings God great joy and marks the beginning of a transformed life filled with hope and purpose.
The Wrestle You Must Win
Life often feels like a constant battle with relationships, career decisions, and personal struggles. The key to winning these battles isn't fighting harder on our own, but learning to wrestle with God through spiritual persistence. Jacob's wrestling match with God in Genesis 32 shows us what happens when we refuse to let go until God moves in our lives. When we wrestle with God, three things occur: we see incredible breakthroughs in our circumstances, we are transformed and given new identity, and we develop a beautiful dependence on His strength rather than our own. Unlike wrestling with worldly challenges, when we wrestle with God, victory is guaranteed because He wants us to win.
God Wants The Real You
In a world obsessed with appearances and curated images, we often bring this same filtered approach to our relationship with God. We present polished versions of ourselves, hiding our struggles and doubts behind spiritual performance. However, God already sees everything about us - our motivations, concerns, thoughts, and hearts. He doesn't want our religious performance; He wants authentic relationship. When we approach His throne of grace with honesty about our weaknesses and struggles, we discover that His perfect love drives out fear and His grace provides everything we need.
The Call Of God
God has a unique calling for every believer, not just pastors or missionaries. His call often comes during ordinary moments and uses our everyday experiences, relationships, and skills as preparation. Whether through your profession, hobbies, or current circumstances, God wants to partner with you in reaching others with the gospel. Like Moses, we may feel inadequate, but God doesn't call the qualified - He qualifies the called. The key is surrendering what you have in your hand and trusting God to use it for His purposes. True fulfillment comes only when we step out in faith and follow God's calling on our lives.
I’m Hungry For More
Many Christians wonder why some believers seem to have spiritual power while others don't. The answer lies in prayer and fasting, an ancient practice Jesus demonstrated. When the disciples couldn't cast out a demon, Jesus explained that some spiritual breakthroughs require deeper authority that only comes through prayer and fasting. This practice produces three key results: sharpened spiritual sight that cuts through worldly distractions, supernatural power that brings breakthrough, and a deeper relationship with God. Fasting means giving up something valuable to focus on the spiritual realm, demonstrating that you want God more than comfort or convenience.
Why I Serve The Saviour
Many people feel empty despite having everything they thought they wanted, but the answer might be found in serving others and serving God. Paul reminds us in Philippians 2 that we must have the same attitude as Christ, who humbled Himself and took the position of a servant. When we use our gifts to serve God and others, we discover deeper purpose and fulfillment. Serving builds community, refines our character, and creates meaningful relationships. Ultimately, serving is our response to the One who gave everything for us, requiring a willing heart that says 'Here I am, use me.'
