Baptism Service
Baptism is one of the most powerful and personal moments in the life of a believer — a public declaration that says, "I belong to Jesus." Today we celebrate those taking this step, and we reflect together on what baptism means: not just a tradition or a ritual, but a full-bodied, whole-hearted statement of faith. Whether you were baptised years ago or are watching someone take the plunge for the first time, this service is an invitation to remember your own commitment and to be stirred again by the beauty of new life in Christ.
Talk about it
Welcome — we're so glad you're here today, especially for this special service. Baptism is when someone who has decided to follow Jesus goes public with that decision by being immersed in water. It's a powerful, joyful moment that we celebrate together as a community. You don't need to know all the "church stuff" to appreciate what's happening — just know that what you're about to see is someone saying, from the bottom of their heart, "I'm all in with Jesus." We hope today feels warm, real, and maybe even a little moving. That's totally normal here. Grab a coffee after the service and say hello — we'd love to get to know you.
Matthew 3:17
“And a voice from heaven said, 'This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.'”
Romans 6:4
“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
Matthew 28:19-20
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Acts 22:16
“And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptised and wash your sins away, calling on his name.”
