No Ordinary Life, The Kingdom Life

No Ordinary Life, The Kingdom Life

When Jesus encounters our hearts, everything changes as we move from living in our small orbit to embracing God's broader perspective. Living the kingdom life means being a kingdom builder who says yes to the Holy Spirit's promptings, even in unexpected moments during ordinary circumstances. We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works that He prepared beforehand for us to walk in, making us uniquely designed to showcase the skill of the Lord Jesus Christ.Jesus calls us to be salt and light, which requires being spiritually attractive and building into people around us. Being spiritually attractive means developing authentic faith through daily time with Jesus and seeking the Holy Spirit, naturally drawing others to the love of God. Kingdom builders understand the principle that when somebody wins, we all win, leading them to thank those who serve, offer practical help, speak words of life instead of negativity, and look for opportunities to catch people doing things right.Reaching the lost becomes a joy rather than an effort when we tune into the Holy Spirit's promptings and use simple approaches like sharing about great church experiences, leaving encouraging notes, or inviting people to try Alpha courses. The difference between ordinary and kingdom living is understanding our identity as God's workmanship and staying available for His extraordinary plans, creating ripple effects of transformation in our workplaces, families, and communities.

Matthew 5:13–16 (NIV)

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
